This night was to be a posting for a blogger, I have been reading as of late. Donald Sensing is a minister of God. I believe him to be a devote man from his postings. Donald is struggling with an area, I believe many conservative Christians struggle. The 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution secures our rights to keep and BEAR arms. Most people waffle about the the word bear, but lets just come to the point, it means to use a weapon with force to harm or take the life of another human being. Unlike the pansy lefties, it does not mean hunting. I am not speaking about the detestable acts of goblins who mean to cause others harm, but the right to bear these arms in self-defense and offence against a tyrannical government.
Before, I get to this topic, a couple of mentions, to set background and recognize someone who has opened my eyes concerning The Machine. I have not read doc Russia until tonight, but I will ever be thankful for putting into words, what new was within me. I would like to thank the Emperor for bringing another awesome site to my attention through his post.
People, the Machine is real. It exists in every one of us. It is a power to wreak havoc on other people. Please know, I did not take the opportunity to offer my life for this most awesome country, I have a very deep respect for those who do. My brother is one of those men. He is 9 years younger than I. He was spoiled rotten, but his act of taking the oath, changes him into a proud image. I digress...
First, let me say, “Jesus was no pansy.” If you have actually read the Bible, the dude had his threshold. He cleaned the clocks of the people who dared turn the temple into a house of thieves.
He physically challenged the people who stood around the prostitute, ready to throw stones and dared them. If they were without sin, cast the first stone.
He was a carpenter in the days before the 10-ton forklifts carried the big beams into house.
He also did not mind his disciples arming themselves with the current conceal carry weapon of the day, the Roman short sword. We know this because Peter took off the ear of the guard in the garden. (PS My belief is seeing Peter swinging through the centerline of the helmet and the only thing, which the basic helmet did not cover on the sides, was the ear. I believe it was a glancing blow, which means that Peter was at the weapons range practicing.)
Jesus even made the statement “No one takes my life from me without my allowing it”
But I also believe he showed us we do not need to use force in most situations. I believe he taught us love was the supreme test and we are called to love. (While just a short paragraph, DO NOT minimize this belief. It is easier to present this in a short paragraph, because it is taught more.)
However, it was because Jesus loved people, he calls the scribes and Pharisees nasty names. He forcibly condemns them.
Make no mistake that all of these are part of whom Jesus really was.
So is it wrong, or "unclean" for a blood bought believer in Jesus Christ to take up a weapon and use the maximum force to kill the goblin who is threatening life? (Please do not use this beyond the protection of life).
My belief is NO. Here is why.
The Constitution of the US, specifically points out rights that we have as citizens. Most people what to go around using these rights to harm people by suing them ("you violated my rights, is the battle cry"). Let me assure you, rights are not a tool to oppress, but a responsibility to act.
We are given the right of freedom of speech. Here and now, I exercise that right. It is my duty, to my country, to my fellow citizens, and to my God who protects us all to honor this right by exercising it.
If I fail to exercise this right, I place this country, my neighbors, my friends, my family and my faith in jeopardy. I place them in harms way. I am compelled therefore, to act upon my rights, and use them especially in the face of danger. Because if I do not speak up, then someone else may loose their rights for which so many precious souls have shed their blood in the country for us.
The war in Iraq is not about Iraq. It is about the US exercising its right to say, "WE DO NOT WANT SCUM SUCKING TERRORISTS IN THIS WORLD."
So if I am required to exercise my right of speech, how much more should I take up arms to defend the rights of others and exercise my second amendment rights.
If I do not use force, then force will be perpetrated upon me, my family, my friends AND my faith. I owe it to them and to my God to exercise the rights granted to me.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND, I do not condone violence. I try to keep the Machine contained so I do not become a violent person. Just randomly shooting people for pleasure or gain is not a just cause and IS NOT AN EXERCISE of my rights. DELIBERATLY KILLING INNOCENTS IS WRONG. I MUST CONTAIN THE MACHINE
However, if I do not exercise this right, I may be standing in the way of huge quantities of people who can come to know my Jesus, because my faith is not safe.
Here is the problem.....
John Edwards.
Is becomes not just him alone but all trial lawyers. See here comes the problem. If I were left to my own devices, I would merely use enough force to disable the goblin. I have no deep desire to see people killed and if they are a goblin, this means Jesus is not working in their life. They need Jesus more than anyone does, and given a chance, I would do everything possible to not have to pull the trigger.
Nevertheless, if I do, and I just wound them, I have the problem of trial lawyers, who figuratively will kill me, my family and some have taken on the faith. They seek to slander, defame, cajole and twist facts into millions of dollars. They leave in their wake the broken ambitions of people. They will slander faiths to their own end.
Therefore, it has become a common saying amongst gun owners “If you have someone in your sites and pull the trigger, shoot to kill.” Do this because the dead cannot sue (but the families can).
Ethics, my friends, is what is lacking in our lawyers of today. To understand that if a person threatens or used sufficient force to cause me to exercise my rights, on behalf of this great country, that trial lawyers view this as a meal ticket. Filthy money hungry vampires.
Therefore, this is what you have to reconcile. It is not the shedding of blood if force is required (and know if it is or not), it is the level you need to take to protect your family, friends or faith.
Let me assure you, just because you have concealed carry in states, it is not effective without tort reform. It’s like hungry dog, in the chicken coop without a leash.
Back to the topic,
Donald is struggling with the use of force and the serving of the Eucharist.
I believe by reading his post, he has done the mental exercises that EVERYONE who owns a weapon must do about when, where and how many shells to expend on a true goblin who threatens force.
My personal belief says I would love to be a martyr for my Lord Jesus Christ and I hope someday that he calls me to this. In this situation, I will give my life for Him without reservation.
Nevertheless, if you break into my home, or threaten me first, I will not be a martyr to the goblin's cause of denying me and my own of life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness. I do not believe this cause is just and will take up arms against it with as much force as necessary to protect the same. Theirs is not a just or righteous cause.
Now the issue at hand is Donald’s need for purity in his life to administer the Eucharist to his parishioners. I understand this point and can respect his viewpoint. However, I believe that the real issue is not one of purity to God (because of Jesus paying the sacrifice making us pure in him) but his own internal sense of forgiveness regarding the matter.
For when a life is taken, even when the goblins do it, there is a sense of failure in ones life. Unfortunatly for the goblin, their life is now being inspected by God directly on a one-on-one session. For you, your life has been tainted by the shedding of blood. Our soul cries out because of the wound inflicted upon it.
While I do not know what a rape victim goes through personally, I can imagine that the pain they feel is similar to the pain felt upon the taking of a life. The sense of violation and anger, which rages within you, is not easily contained. The question becomes, "Why me?" The personal guilt felt. The struggle becomes just caring about something and the numbness taking over in your life.
Just like a rape victim, who feels defiled, the act causing the defilement was not your choice.
If that goblin had not forced me to exercise my rights, which I am bound to my country, my family, my friends, and my God to do; I would not have been violated. I would not have had to take the goblin’s life. I would not have had to pull that trigger.
Sure, I was the one who had a choice to pull the trigger in defense. Sure, I could have not pulled the trigger. Is it worth the loss of rights to not pull the trigger? My answer is no. Too many brave and honorable people died that I might have these rights. It is my obligation to them and the life that they shed on my behalf to pay them back.
Therefore, I am defiled now. Can I ever forgive myself? This is the real question because God has already forgiven through his Son. Can I force myself to realize this violation was not my direct choice?
God took the life of his own Son so that we might be free in him. I owe God way more than anything and I am glad to serve. I put him on the cross.
American's past, present and future took the lives of others and gave their own life so I might be free in this country. I owe them allot also.
Will I carry this burden the rest of my life? Yep. It becomes my honor and privilege to do so.
* goblins is a term used by Kim Du Toit to reference people who do not obey the law.
